Birth AD is an American crossover band from Austin , Texas that was formed in 2008.

history

The band was founded in 2008, two-thirds consisted of the disbanded black metal band Averse Sefira and released the self-produced EP Stillbirth of a Nation in 2009 in self- publication . In October of the same year, the group went on a tour of Japan that included eleven performances. In 2013 the debut album I Blame You was released on Unspeakable Ax Records , a sub-label of Dark Descent Records .

style

According to the band's biography on Facebook , the band is trying to play a crossover of hardcore punk and thrash metal from the 1980s. Deathmetal.org's Brett Stevens found the band played thrash metal in the style of groups like Dirty Rotten Imbeciles , Corrosion of Conformity , Cryptic Slaughter , Dead Brain Cells, and Fearless Iranians from Hell . According to Ronny Bittner from Rock Hard , the band plays crossover thrash metal in the style of Stormtroopers of Death . In an interview with Bittner, Jess Tandy stated that he started his musical career playing Thrash Metal. In the song The Scene Sucks he expresses himself negatively about local metal scenes , because he thinks global ones are more effective, since these are the sum of their parts. The local scenes are full of apathy , partisanship and people you can't stand. Much like Stormtroopers of Death, the band didn't mean many of the songs seriously. You try, like a comedian, to convey a statement through exaggeration and humor.
