Bismarckstrasse (Karlsruhe)

The Bismarckstraße in Karlsruhe is an inner city street which, as a section of the former Grünwinkeler Allee, belongs to the so-called Karlsruher Fächer .

It runs from Hans-Thoma-Straße towards the west and turns into Hoffstraße. The Bismarck monument is on the corner of Seminarstrasse .

Bismarck High School

In addition to hotels and shops, the Bismarckstrasse in Karlsruhe is also home to the University of Education , the State Seminar for School Education and the traditional Bismarck High School .

House Solms

Haus Solms deserves a special mention , a palace from the Wilhelminian era, today a guest house of the city of Karlsruhe.

Also noteworthy are the sculpture garden, which belongs to the State Academy of Fine Arts , at Bismarckstrasse 67, as well as the so-called Logenhaus at number 83. Four Masonic lodges reside here under one roof. The purchase took place in 1955, a year later the foundation stone for a temple was laid on the site of the former rear building, which was inaugurated in 1957. Except during cultural events, the lodge house is not open to the public.
