The diocese Sulaimaniya ( Latin Dioecesis Sulaimaniensis Chaldaeorum ) was a Chaldean Catholic diocese unified with the Roman Catholic Church and located in Sulaimaniyya in the Autonomous Region of Kurdistan in Iraq . The diocese was founded on March 7, 1968 and merged with the Archdiocese of Kirkuk on July 11, 2013 under the new name Archdiocese of Kirkuk-Sulaimaniya .
