Bitzenhofen (Dasing)

Bitzenhofen is a district of the Dasing municipality in the Aichach-Friedberg district ( Bavaria ). The church village is located north of the A8 on the Bachgraben, a left tributary of the Paar (Danube) .

history

Bitzenhofen was probably founded in the 8th century by a Buzzo. The Stettenhof, which no longer exists today, was part of the founding equipment of the St. Ulrich and Afra monastery in Augsburg around 1006. The oldest document from the period between 1146 and 1162 deals with the transfer of property from an Adalbertus to the monastery in Buzzenhouen. The Palatine of Wittelsbach , and later the Dukes practiced the patronage of the monastery aus.1175 six and a half there were Hube owned by the monastery. The monastery was the largest landlord in the village until secularization .
