Merdschen Ischangulyjewa ( Russian Мерджен Ишангулыева , English transcription Merjen Ishangulyyeva; born January 21, 1988 ) is a Kazakh hurdler of Turkmen origin who specializes in the 400-meter distance .

Athletic career

Merdschen Ischangulyjewa gained her first experience at international championships at the 2009 World Championships in Berlin , where she was eliminated for Turkmenistan over 400 m hurdles in the first round. In 2017 she was fourth in the hurdles in 58.51 s and also with the relay in 3: 37.95 at the Asian Championships in Bhubaneswar . In 2018 she participated in the Asian Games in Jakarta , where she was eliminated in the first round with 59.32 s.

In 2011 Ischangulyjewa was Turkmen champion over 1500 meters outdoors and indoors. For Kazakhstan in 2015 and 2017 over 400 meter hurdles and in 2015 also with the 4 x 400 meter relay and 2017 in the 400 meter run .
