Ge Manqi ( Chinese  葛曼 棋 , Pinyin Gě Mànqí; born October 13, 1997 in Qingliu ) is a Chinese sprinter .

Athletic career

Ge Manqi gained her first international experience in 2013 at the World Youth Championships in Donetsk , where she reached the semi-finals over 100 meters and was eliminated in the first round over 200 meters. In addition, she was disqualified in the final with the Chinese sprint relay (1000 meters). In 2016, she qualified with the Chinese 4 x 100 meter relay for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , where she was eliminated in the qualification with 42.70 seconds . At the IAAF World Relays 2017 in the Bahamas , she won the bronze medal behind Germany and Jamaica with the 4 x 100 meter relay. They secured a starting place for the World Championships in London , where they were disqualified in the preliminary round . In 2018, she won the silver medal behind the team from Bahrain at the Asian Games in Jakarta with the relay in 42.84 seconds. Then she was with the relay at the Continental Cup in Ostrava third.

In 2019, she won the Asian Championships in Doha with a new championship record of 42.87 s with the relay and finished sixth in the 200-meter run in 23.34 s. Shortly afterwards she reached the World Relays in Yokohama with the 4-by-200-meter relay in 1: 32.76 min second behind France and was disqualified with the 4-by-100-meter relay in the preliminary run. She also qualified over 100 meters for the World Championships in Doha, where she was eliminated in the semifinals with 11.31 seconds . With the season she reached the finals , in which she was disqualified again because of an alternating error. Then she won at the Military World Games in Wuhan with the relay in 43.45 s, the silver medal behind Brazil. Over 100 meters she finished fourth in 11.42 s and in the 200-meter run she was eliminated in the preliminary run.

In 2019, Ge became the Chinese indoor champion in the 60-meter run. She is a student at East China Pedagogical University in Shanghai .
