Salvatore Zotta

Salvatore Zotta (* 28. June 1938 in Potenza ) is an Italian diplomat in retirement .

Career

In 1961 he joined the foreign service. From 1963 to 1969 he was vice consul in Munich , Legation Secretary of second class at the Holy See and in Washington, DC From 1969 to 1972 he was in Rome with publicity busy. From 1989 to 1994 he was Consul General in Lugano . In 1985 he was appointed Envoy Extraordinary and Second Minister Plenipotentiary. From 1994 to 1999 he was appointed head of the diplomatic advisory team to the Prime Minister (1994–1995 Silvio Berlusconi ) and was responsible for coordinating civil protection.

From October 30, 2001 to September 1, 2005 he was ambassador in Colombo and at the same time accredited as an ambassador in Malé (Maldives).
