Wei Yongli ( Chinese  韋 永 麗  /  韦 永 丽 , Pinyin Wéi Yǒnglì; born October 11, 1991 in Bose ) is a Chinese sprinter .

Athletic career

Wei Yongli gained his first international experience at the Asian Championships in Kobe , where she won the silver medal in the 100-meter run behind the Uzbek Guzel Khubbieva in 11.70 s . She also won silver behind the team from Japan with the Chinese 4 x 100 meter relay. With the relay she took part in the World Championships in Daegu in September and was disqualified there in the preliminary stages. The following year she won over 60 meters at the Asian Indoor Championships in Hangzhou and reached the semi-finals at the World Indoor Championships in Istanbul . Over 100 meters she qualified for the Olympic Games in London , where she was eliminated with 11.48 s in the lead . In 2013 she won the Asian Championships in Pune in 11.29 s over 100 meters and with the 4 x 100 meter relay, but did not get beyond the lead at the World Championships in Moscow with the Chinese relay. At the East Asian Games in Tianjin , she managed a triple victory over 100 and 200 meters and with the 4 x 100 meter relay.

In 2014 she reached the semi-finals at the World Indoor Championships in Sopot over 60 meters. At the Asian Games in Incheon , South Korea , she won gold over 100 meters and in the 4 x 100 meter relay as well as silver over 200 meters. In 2015 he won a gold medal with the relay and a bronze medal over 100 meters at the Asian Championships in Wuhan . So she qualified for the World Championships in Beijing , where she was eliminated over 100 meters with 11.27 s in the semifinals . With the season she was eliminated in 43.18 s in advance . In 2016 she took part again in the World Indoor Championships in Portland and was eliminated there with 7.26 s in the semifinals. She also took part again in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and was eliminated over 100 meters in 11.48 s in the run . Even with the relay, a time of 42.70 s was not enough for the final excerpt .

At the IAAF World Relays 2017 in the Bahamas , the Chinese team won the bronze medal with the 4 x 100 meter relay. With the 4 x 200 relay, she took eighth place. In August she took part in the World Championships in London over 100 meters and was eliminated there with 11.37 s in the first round . With the relay she was disqualified in advance . At the World Indoor Championships in Birmingham , she was eliminated over 60 meters in the preliminary round. At the end of August, she again took part in the Asian Games in Jakarta , where she won the bronze medal over 100 and 200 meters, and the silver medal with 42.84 seconds with the 4 x 100 meter relay behind the team from Bahrain. The following year she won the Asian Championships in Doha with a new championship record of 42.87 s with the relay and won the bronze medal over 100 meters behind Kazakh Olga Safronowa and her compatriot Liang Xiaojing in 11.37 s . She also qualified for the World Championships there in September, where she was eliminated in the semi- finals over 100 meters with 11.28 s . In addition, she reached the final in the season, but was disqualified there. Before she got divorced at the World Relays in Yokohama in the 4 x 200 meter relay in 1: 32.76 min to second place behind France and in the 4 x 100 meter relay she was in the lead disqualified.

In 2012 and 2015, Wei became Chinese champion in the 100 and 200-meter run and in 2012 also with the 4-by-100-meter relay. In 2011 she won the 60 and 200 meter titles indoors. She graduated from Guangxi Normal University with a degree in physical education .
