Tao Yujia

Tao Yujia ( Chinese  陶宇佳 , Pinyin Táo Yǔjiā ; born February 16, 1987 in Jiujiang ) is a Chinese sprinter who specializes in the 100-meter run . At a height of 1.62 m, she has a competition weight of 45 kg.

Career

At the age of 14, Tao attended the sports school in Nanchang . She won her first national title at the Chinese Junior Championships in 2006 over the 100-meter distance. At the Asian Junior Championships in Chongqing , she won the title in April 2006 with the 4 x 100 meter relay . In this competition she tried her hand at the triple jump and achieved second place with a width of 13.44 meters.

In 2007, she finished second in her first adult competition, the National Grand Prix , over 100 meters and won the 4 x 100 meter relay. Her first competition outside of China was the 2007 World Championships in Osaka, Japan . There she also took part with the relay. In the run-up to 4 times 100 meters, despite the season's best performance, they narrowly missed the finals and finished ninth. At the Chinese Indoor Championships in Shanghai in 2008 , she won over 60 meters with a personal best of 7.27 seconds.

Tao represented her country at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing , where she competed with Wang Jing , Jiang Lan and Qin Wangping in the 4 x 100 meter relay. In their lead they came fourth behind the Stafreln from Jamaica , Russia and Germany . Her time of 43.78 s was only the tenth fastest and was therefore not enough for the final.

She set her personal best of 11.42 seconds over 100 m on August 6, 2010 at a competition in Jinan .
