The bivouac hut is located at an altitude of 3382 m slm on the south ridge of the Presanella above the Nardis glacier on the classic ascent route from Rifugio Segantini to Presanella, which is about 40 minutes' walk away.
history
The bivouac hut made of stone and wood was built in 1968 with the help of the alpine brigade "Orobica" stationed in Merano and the alpinist group "Ragnagoi" from the Rendena valley. It was inaugurated in 1969 and was entrusted to the Pinzolo section of the SAT. In 1985 the bivouac hut was extensively renovated.
