Bizaʿa is a village in Syria , 3 kilometers east of Al-Bab . It belongs to the Aleppo governorate . In 2004 it had 12,718 inhabitants.
As part of the civil war in Syria , the city was occupied by the so-called " Islamic State ". On February 4, 2017, the city was liberated by troops of the Free Syrian Army and Turkish Armed Forces during Operation Euphrates Shield .
