Björn Blöndal

Björn Blöndal (born September 9, 1902 , † January 14, 1987 ) was an Icelandic writer.

Life

Since 1931 he worked as a farmer, for several years he also worked as a teacher. He became known in Iceland as a nature lover and was an angler . He lived in the area of Borgarfjörður in the south-western part of Iceland.

In 1949 he published his first short stories. In the end, various volumes of short stories and several novels appeared. His work reflects his enthusiasm for nature.
