Björn Glasner (born May 5, 1973 in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler ) is a former German racing cyclist .

Athletic career

Glasner received his first contract with an international cycling team in 1996 with the team Die Continentale Dortmund .

In 1996 Glasener joined an international cycling team, the Die Continentale Dortmund team, for the first time . In 2004 he celebrated his greatest success by winning the Rhineland-Palatinate Tour . Thereupon he was elected athlete of the year in Rhineland-Palatinate .

In the early summer of 2010, Glasner ended his international career by participating in the German Road Championships . His farewell race, which took place on September 19, 2010 in his hometown Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler, was won by him.

Professional

After the end of his cycling career, Glasner opened a mail order business for bicycle parts in his hometown. He is also involved in RSV Sturmvogel Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler , supports the Lotto-Kern Haus team and runs triathlons as a hobby .
