Björn Lüttmann (born December 11, 1975 in Lübeck ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and a member of the Brandenburg state parliament .

Life

Björn Lüttmann finished school in 1995 with the Abitur and then did his community service in the individual care for the severely disabled. He then studied political science in Marburg, Rennes and Hamburg, graduating in 2001.

From 2002 to 2008 he was a research assistant and office manager for the SPD member of the Bundestag Gabriele Hiller-Ohm . He then headed economic development for the city of Oranienburg , was press spokesman and advisor to the mayor.

He has been a member of the SPD since 2000. In the state elections in Brandenburg in 2014 , he won the direct mandate in the state constituency of Oberhavel III by a few votes ahead . He was able to defend his direct mandate in the state elections in Brandenburg in 2019 and entered the state parliament again.

Since December 2019, he has been chairman of the committee for social affairs, health, integration and consumer protection in the Brandenburg state parliament and deputy chairman of the SPD parliamentary group.

Lüttmann lives in Oranienburg, is married and has two children. He volunteers on the board of the Lebenshilfe eV Oberhavel Süd and the Tourismusverein Oranienburg und Umland eV He is also the patron of the Oranienburger Tafel and the local round table for healthy eating.
