Bjorn Rupprecht

Björn Rupprecht (born January 10, 1977 in Potsdam ) is a former German handball player and handball trainer .

The 1.90 meter tall and 88 kilogram heavy right back player was active at 1. VfL Potsdam and moved from there to SV 63 Brandenburg-West . With Potsdam he played in the 2nd Bundesliga . After his active career, he was the sporting director at 1. VfL Potsdam, where he switched to the board of directors as deputy chairman in July 2014.

As a sports student Björn Rupprecht coached the national handball team of Sri Lanka during an internship abroad in 2004 ; During a training stay in Germany, the players separate. The incident was filmed under the title Game of Dreams.

His father Holger Rupprecht was Minister for Education, Youth and Sport in the State of Brandenburg and until 2014 President of VfL Potsdam.
