Upon This Dawning is a metalcore band from Brescia .
history
The group was founded in 2007 in the Italian city of Brescia . Their debut EP was released in the year they were founded and is called Count the Seconds Before Your Last Breath via the Italian label Slakeless Heart Records . There the group released their debut album in August 2009, called On Your Glory We Build Our Empire .
Due to their rapid success and a steadily growing fan base - not only because of concerts with bands like Asking Alexandria , Underoath , Motionless in White , Blessthefall , Pierce the Veil , More Than A Thousand , Adam Kills Eve , Dance Gavin Dance and In Fear and Faith - The American marketing company The Artery Foundation (including Chelsea Grin , Whitechapel , Woe, Is Me , Impending Doom , Breathe Carolina ) became aware of and signed it.
The group has toured Italy several times (January 29, 2011 to May 28, 2011: UPTHD Italian Tour , March 7, 2009 to May 30, 2009: Sober Society Tour ) and performed at other concerts with The Electric Diorama , Romantic Emily , Hopes Die Last , One Morning Left , From Dying Skies , Ms. White , Shadows Chasing Ghosts and While She Sleeps . With Adam Kills Eve, the group played their first concert outside of Italy. This took place in the Swiss city of Bellinzona .
In the meantime the group toured in Germany . In Munich the band could be seen with His Statue Falls .
The group's second album should be released in autumn 2012. Meanwhile the band signed a contract with Fearless Records . It's called To Keep Us Safe and it was released worldwide on October 23, 2012. Chris Motionless from Motionless in White can be heard as a guest musician in the piece A New Beginning . Since singing with Fearless Records, the group toured more and more through the United States and supported acts for For the Fallen Dreams , Alesana , The Color Morale and Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! . In 2013 singer Gianluca Molinari had to leave the group. He was replaced by Danielle Nelli, who has since left Tasters .
Between November 22nd, 2013 and December 11th, 2013 the group will tour Europe with Shoot the Girl First as the opening act for The Browning from Texas . Performances have taken place in the UK , the Netherlands and Switzerland , Italy , Germany , Belgium , Austria and Hungary . On February 11, 2014 it came out that Upon This Dawning are no longer under contract with Fearless Records and have instead signed with Artery Recordings . The band also announced their second studio album, called We Are All Sinners , and due to be released on April 29, 2014.
