The Bjelland Point is a headland on the north coast of South Georgia . It is immediately south of Second Milestone and 2.5 km east-northeast of Robertson Point . The headland is the eastern boundary of the entrance to Bjelland Bay .
The South Georgia Survey surveyed the area around the headland between 1951 and 1957. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1958 after Sigurd L. Bjelland, from 1951 manager of the South Georgia Whaling Company at the Leith Harbor whaling station for several years .
