The Blümcke Knoll is a 500 m high hill with steep flanks that rises from the ice sheet 17.5 km southwest of Mount Vélain in the north of the West Antarctic Adelaide Island .
Aerial photographs of the American Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947-1948) and the British Falkland Islands and Dependencies Aerial Survey Expedition (1956-1957) were used to map it. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1960 after the German glaciologist Adolf Blümcke (1854-1914).
