Black Kappa

Black Kappa (born June 14, 1977 in Saint Mary Parish , actually Tevon Gutzmore ) is a Jamaican rapper and dancehall singer. He has lived in Berlin for many years . He is best known for his involvement in the Seeed -Hit Dickes B .

Gutzmore grew up in Montego Bay and successfully participated in various singing competitions as a teenager. In 1997 he moved to Germany to live with his cousin and gained a foothold in the Berlin reggae scene. a. 1999 with the participation in the single Made 2 Chill by Dejavue. His featuring at Dickes B von Seeed made him known throughout Germany in 2001 and used the underlying Riddim Frog Ass for his own single Uman . Shortly before that, his debut single Party On was released , which was released as a maxi single on BMG Records in 2002 . Further singles followed with Praise Jah Jah , Drop Top and It Song in collaboration with Joseph Cotton and Taffari.

In 2006 Gutzmore released the single Pon Point on Myspace and in 2008 another single Rastafari Preaching . Then he withdrew from the public for a few years. In 2017 he returned to the stage with the album Honey Honey , recorded on the Berlin label Atahsound.
