As a Black Knight ( German  Black Knight ) a toy in the orbit of the Earth object is called, allegedly an alien - satellite should be. The conspiracy theory is spread that the US government is suppressing alleged facts about the object. An image taken in December 1998 during the STS-88 mission is believed to provide evidence of the satellite's existence. Another opinion is that it is a thermal blanket or other space junk that was lost on another mission.

The conspiracy theory

The object is often viewed by pre-astronautics as evidence of past alien visits.

It is also claimed that mysterious radio waves emanate from the object, but this has not yet been proven. In addition, the satellite is often associated with a UFO allegedly exploded in 1955 . In addition, the satellite is said to have been sighted before the start of terrestrial space travel.

In addition, conspiracy theories also consider that the object was the first German satellite to be launched into orbit by a V2 rocket in 1938.
