Black Lake is a lake in the catchment area of the Mackenzie River in the north of the Canadian province of Saskatchewan .
The lake has a water area of 428 km² and a total area including islands of 464 km². The length of the lake is 55 km. The lake's main tributaries are the Chipman River , Cree River , Fond du Lac River, and Souter River . The Black Lake is drained from the Fond du Lac River west to Lake Athabasca .
The Black Lake settlement is on the northwestern shore of the lake near the point where the Fond du Lac River drains.

The following fish species live in Black Lake: Eyeglasses , American perch , pike , American char , Arctic grayling , Coregonus , the suction carp Catostomus commersonii and Catostomus catostomus as well as the burbot .
