Blackstar Amplification is a British manufacturer of amplifiers and effects devices for electric guitars based in Northampton .
history
The company was founded in 2004 by four friends who had all played in a band and were involved in the development of guitar amps. They decided to join forces and manufacture guitar amplifiers according to their ideas in their own company. According to their own information, they began building the first devices in a gazebo .
In 2007 the first amplifiers were presented at the Frankfurt Musikmesse . In fact, the devices quickly found well-known musicians who used the products, such as Gus G. ( Ozzy Osbourne ) or Neal Schon ( Journey ).
The amplifiers and effects devices are manufactured in Asia, which, according to the manufacturer, has no influence on the quality of the products.

Guitar amplifier
- HT-1 : Guitar amplifier as a top part for connection to an external box or as a combo amplifier (1 watt, full tube ), two channels with optional digital reverb (only HT-1R and HT-1 RH; ISF controller for stepless control between " American "and" English "sound character).
- HT-5 : Guitar amplifier as a top part for connection to an external box or as a combo amplifier (5 watts, two channels, equalizer, digital reverb (optional), ISF controller).

- Series One : Combo amplifier (45 watts) or top part for connection to an external box (50, 100, 200 watts), four channels, midi, effects loop, various tubes.
- Artisan series : hand-wired (in South Korea), combo amplifier (15, 30 watts) or top for connection to an external box (15, 30, 100 watts), 2 channels. High and low input per channel, channels can be faded. The Artisan series offers a very classic vintage sound and forms the top of the product range.
Guitar effects
- LT pedals: These are different distortion pedals, each with a different sound. They are operated with tubes and offer the ISF equalizers to control the tube from American to British sound.
- HT pedals: The HT pedals are also distortion devices with tube technology. They are priced above the LT series and offer more flexibility. There are also an echo, a hall and a modulation pedal with tube technology, which have numerous control options. The tube technology is supposed to achieve a very warm sound.
