Blak Twang

Blak Twang (born June 28, 1972 in Manchester ; actually Tony Olabode ) is a British rapper .

Life

Olabode grew up in the London borough of Lewisham . In addition to collaborations with Roots Manuva , he also worked with Beverley Knight , Tom Jones and the Wu-Tang Clan , among others .

His solo debut single What Goin 'On was released in 1995. In 1996 he won a MOBO Award for "Best Hip-Hop Artist". His most successful year so far was 2002, in which he landed in the UK singles charts first with Estelle and the title Trixstar (number 54) and then with Jahmali and So Rotten (number 48).
