The Bluebeard Spint ( Nyctyornis athertoni ) is a bird in the bee-eater family . It is 36 cm long, green and has a long, narrow and slightly curved beak. Its plumage is grass green with a blue-green forehead. On the underside, there are light blue long feathers on his throat that are conspicuous, especially when he is singing. Both sexes look the same.
Occurrence
He lives on the Malay Peninsula and the Western Ghats in India .
Breeding season
It breeds from February to August, but especially in April and May. It lays four to six white, round and slightly shiny eggs of 28 × 30 mm in size. Both sexes take care of the boys.
