The Blue Wonder in Leipzig was a pedestrian bridge over the inner city ring .
The steel structure led from 1973 to 2004 over the former Friedrich-Engels-Platz, today's crossroads Goerdelerring / Tröndlinring. The part over the Tröndlinring was built in June to August 1973 by DR Stahlbau Dessau. The part about today's Goerdelerring was added at the end of 1977. The bridge was initially painted light blue - similar to the Elbe bridge of the same name in Dresden - and therefore received its name in the vernacular. From 1991 it was painted gray, but the naturalized nickname was retained. It was demolished on July 11, 2004.

The bridge was a purely functional structure with the purpose of ensuring a safe crossing of the roadways and the tram tracks. It had stairs and sloping stairs.
It gained great importance as an excellent photo stand during the Peaceful Revolution of the Monday demonstrations in 1989/1990 , as one could see the entire width of the demonstration from here. In preparation for the 2006 World Cup , it had to give way to a changed traffic solution in 2004.
