Blaze Orange (English for "bright orange"), also known as Safety Orange or Warning Orange , is a collective term for orange shades that are used as a signal and warning color , for example in traffic and when hunting .
hunt
The camouflage effect of Blaze Orange against various wild animals is given, especially in combination with additional camouflage print, which dissolves contours, despite the bright orange color, since cervids, as dichromates, perceive orange shades only poorly. In Germany, only the orange hat band is required by law on company hunts (as of 2018), but some hunters also require high visibility clothing. Blaze Orange has long been part of the basic equipment for most types of hunting in the USA and Scandinavia (see UVV ).
