The Bleicherhaus Lüttringhaus is a two-storey residential building with the address Öhder Straße 31 in the Wuppertal district of Langerfeld-Beyenburg in the district of Öhde . The built in 1718 Bleicher house on a solid base in the framework construction is partially verschiefert and with a saddle roof covering. At the back it was supplemented by a two-storey extension that was built in 1904.

The facade of the front side facing the street was laid out in three axes, with the house entrance door in the middle axis. The upper floor is visually separated from the ground floor by a cornice that runs the full width of the facade . The front corners of the building are hidden in front of each floor by wooden pilasters .

history

After the heyday of yarn bleaching was over, Albert Lüttringhaus founded a factory for imitation hand-made lace in 1894 . He also ran a machine factory for braiding and lace machines in Barmen . He later switched his factory to woven belts. The multi-storey factory building across the street is no longer preserved.

On November 11, 1994, the house was entered as a monument in the list of monuments of the city of Wuppertal. The monument protection scope does not include the rear annex.
