Münsterbusch lead works

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The lead smelter Münsterbusch or lead and silver smelter Münsterbusch was a silver and lead smelter in Münsterbusch near Büsbach in what was then the district of Aachen, founded in 1846 by the stock corporation zu Bleyberg ès Montzen and operated by the Stolberger Gesellschaft from 1848 until it closed in 1916 . It was across from the Zinkhütter Hof . The closure took place due to a lack of labor and the loss of imported ores. With the incorporation of Büsbach in 1935, the area came to the city of Stolberg (Rhld.) (Today Aachen city region ).
