The house with the postal address lead Straße 4 is a Grade II listed building in the city of Stralsund in the lead road .

The three- story brick house was built in 1875 in the neo-Gothic style based on designs by Ernst von Haselberg . It was inaugurated on August 3, 1875.

The main front faces the St. Mary's Church . It shows a four-story section with a pointed arch portal and a three-story, five-axis section with high, three-part windows. The tracery windows on the second floor are closed in an ogival shape, the windows on the ground floor and on the first floor have segmental arches .

A multi-storey frieze forms the upper end of the building .

The house is located in the core area of ​​the city ​​area recognized by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage site of the “ historic old towns of Stralsund and Wismar ”. It is entered in the list of architectural monuments in Stralsund with the number 106.

The house was initially used as a secondary school, from 1882 as a secondary school , from 1914 as an upper secondary school and from 1941 as an upper school for boys; After the Second World War, a vocational school named after Karl Krull was located in the building , which was renamed "Vocational School for Crafts, Services and Industry" after 1990 and existed here until 2005. The building was renovated between 2012 and 2013 and has been used for medical practices and apartments ever since.
