Bleona Qereti (born May 14, 1979 in Korça ) is an Albanian pop singer who now lives in Tirana and the USA .

biography

Bleona sang as a child and teenager. In the early 1990s she made repeated appearances as a singer and presenter at the Elbasan theater . In the mid-1990s she was able to take part in various festivals and tours at home and abroad and gained national fame. In 1994, at the age of 14, she made her first appearance at the Festivali i Këngës , the most important music event in Albania. In 1998 their first album was released, entitled Kam qejfin tim (I'm having fun) . In 1999 she began studying at the Tirana Art Academy , which she graduated as an actress in June 2002.

Their third and fourth albums, which were released in 2001 and 2002, sold very well in Albania. The fifth album, called Ti nuk di as me ma… lyp (you don't even… how to turn me on), sold over 300,000 copies in Albania.

In her home country she is known as the 'Albanian Madonna' with her visual style and attitude.

Since 2010 she has been working in the USA a. a. together with Timbaland and sings in English.
