Petey Pablo (born July 22, 1973 in Greenville , North Carolina ; real name Moses Barrett III ) is an American rapper .

biography

With a guest appearance and a short demo on Mystikals platinum album Let's Get Ready , Petey Pablo gained fame in the States. With his debut single Raise Up he reached number 25 on the Billboard charts in 2001 . He landed his biggest hit in collaboration with the singer Ciara . Their common single Goodies reached both in the US and in the UK No. 1 on the charts.

He made his first professional recording in 2000 for the second Timbaland and Magoo album Indecent Proposal .

In May 2005, Petey Pablo moved to Suge Knights label Death Row Records . There he is no longer part of the roster. Under the direction of Death Row Records, he recorded a previously unreleased album entitled Same Eyez on Me , the title of which is based on 2Pac's double album All Eyez on Me . This album will no longer be released via Death Row Records, but via For the People Entertainment .
