Blieschow is a district of the municipality Lancken-Granitz in the district of Vorpommern-Rügen in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania on the island of Rügen .

location

Blieschow is located about one kilometer north of Lancken-Granitz on the southern edge of the Granitz forest area . Blieschow is connected to Lancken-Granitz by a straight cobblestone avenue. The Garftitz stop of the Rasender Roland narrow-gauge railway is located in the village . The Granitz hunting lodge rises to the northwest of the village . The Blieschow barrows are to the southwest of the village .

history

The name Blieschow is derived from the Slavic Blitzkow and interpreted with the place of a Blizk . In 1318 the place came into the possession of the House of Putbus and belonged to Garftitz further south . A wooden jug was mentioned for Blieschow in 1490. Further mentions were made in the 15th and 16th centuries and related to the sale of annuities. In 1592 the place became deserted , but in 1664 two Kossats lived in the village again .
