Nebethetepet (Nebet-hetepet) Nbt-ḥtpt Mistress of Contentment |
Nebethetepet , also Nebet-hetepet , is an ancient Egyptian deity in Egyptian mythology .
Although she was venerated in Heliopolis as the female counterpart to Atum , Nebethetepet was rather insignificant. Presumably she was only the logical addition to the Creator God. Her name is translated as “Lady of the Sacrifice” as well as “Lady of Contentment”. Like the goddess Juesaes, also venerated in Heliopolis, Nebethetepet embodied the feminine principle. In connection with Hathor , she was also worshiped outside of Heliopolis.
