Blindman's Buff

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The horizontal format, black and white logo shows the strongly stylized, caricature-like head of a cow with dark sunglasses on the right. The horns, the ears, the sunglasses and the nostrils are sketched with strong and rough lines, further details - including the outer contours of the head - are missing. At the bottom it says “blind man's cow - more than a restaurant” in 2 lines.

The blindekuh is a catering concept in Switzerland in which guests eat in the dark and cannot see the food.

The dark restaurant is a company of the Blind-Liecht Foundation . This foundation wants to show sighted people what it is like in the world of blindness and what problems blind people have to struggle with every day.

The eye cannot “eat along” while eating, but the scent , taste and, last but not least, the shape of the food awaken the senses. The guests are looked after by blind and visually impaired employees.

The first blind man's cow was opened on September 17, 1999 in a former chapel in Zurich's Seefeld . Another restaurant followed in Basel at the beginning of 2005 .
