Blood Lad ( Japanese ブ ラ ッ ド ラ ッ ド , Buraddo Raddo ) is a Japanese manga by Yūki Kodama , which was published from 2009 to 2016. It was also adapted as an anime series and novel in 2013 .

action

The protagonist of the plot is the teenage vampire Staz Charly Blood ( ブ ラ ッ ド ・ チ ャ ー リ ー ・ ス タ ズ , Buraddo Chārī Sutazu ), who lives in the demon world and rules the eastern part as a gang boss. An avid fan of Japanese anime and manga, a dream comes true for him when his subordinates tell him that they have picked up a human Japanese girl named Fuyumi Yanagi ( 柳 冬 実 ). His luck only lasted for a short time, however, as during his absence a carnivorous plant of a challenger sneaks into his room and eats Fuyumi. Fuyumi now exists as a ghost, which makes her lose her charm for him. Still, he promises to find a way to revive her.

She tells him that she came across a door with a black curtain through which she entered the world of demons. Later they meet Hydrabell ( ハ イ ド ラ ベ ル , Haidoraberu ), who has the ability to manipulate space using frames of any kind, or to let the space enclosed by a frame lead to another place. She says that the door with the black curtain is hers, but that it has been stolen or the underlying magic has been copied. She is looking for the perpetrator because she thinks she has to marry such a strong demon. She tells him that his childhood friend and gang boss about the western demon world, the half- werewolf wolf ( ウ ル フ , Urufu ), has a book on resuscitation in order to get them both to fight against each other to test Staz. In fact, she owns the book, but it is illegible. The author turns out to be Staz's older brother, Vlad D. Blood ( ブ ラ ッ ド ・ D ・ ブ ラ ッ ズ , Buraddo D Burazzu ), but whom he is afraid of because he experimented with him as a child and then shot him in the heart had sealed much of his powers. Bell then begins to fall in love with him. Bell takes him to the Flying City, where the high-ranking demons live, where he meets his little sister Liz T. Blood ( ブ ラ ッ ド ・ T ・ リ ズ , Buraddo T Rizu ). She attacks him because he was a family disgrace because he ran away even though he had been treated well by his brother. As the person responsible for the prison of the demon world, she banishes Staz there. At the same time, Fuyumi's existence is beginning to fade, which is why Wolf introduces her to Dr. Franken brings stone. When Vlad visits the prison, it turns out that Liz is actually mad at him for being lonely since he left and Vlad is always busy.

For his help in resuscitating Fuyumi, Vlad Staz asks to eliminate the artificial demon Akim ( ア キ ム ), which Franken Stein had created, which was patched together from several demons , while Stein asks Wolf to do the same. Vlad tells Staz that he sealed his strength back then, because his body at the time was not up to it, and removes the ball from Staz's heart. After Staz defeats Akim, Bell asks Stein where he got the demon parts from since Akim was able to use the same space magic as her, and realizes that they were leftovers of the thief she was looking for. Vlad appears with Liz and has Stein and Akim thrown in jail. Liz stays with Staz, makes up with him and makes friends with Fuyumi. Shortly afterwards, Fuyumi is kidnapped. It also turns out that Vlad Franken sent the body parts so that he can have them work for himself in a secret laboratory in prison. When Liz returns, she is received by Inspector Velos ( べ ロ ス 巡査 , Beros junsa ), as she has the task of arresting Vlad and bringing him before Daddy Wolf, who once killed her parents and became the new king of the demons.

Bell manages to catch Fuyumi's kidnapper, who turns out to be her brother Hydranell, and when she learns he's acting on her mother's behalf, she helps him. In the end there is a fight between her and Staz, which he wins through luck. Daddy Wolf confronts Vlad that his secret agent pantomime has disappeared, and Vlad admits that Akim was created from the corpse of pantomime and is his declaration of war on him and that he will overthrow him and replace him with someone else. The king then gives him an ultimatum of three days to bring this person to him. Then Vlad flees the palace. Bell and Nell's mother, Lady Neyn ( ネ イ ン , no ) explains why she had Fuyumi kidnapped. Demons and humans each have a doppelganger in the other world, and when they meet, they merge. While paying a visit to the human world, she met Fuyumi's mother, her doppelganger, and they both merged into her current person. For this reason she is also the mother of Fuyumi, who in turn is the sister of Bell. Staz meets Bell's father Hydraheads, whose true form is a Hydra and from whom she inherited her space magic. While Neyn wants Fuyumi to stay with her, he wants Fuyumi to decide and Staz to protect her if she should decide to leave. Heads tells Neyn that Fuyumi's presence here is his fault, as he once showed his skills at a royal audience, which the king then had mimes copied. Since Neyn doesn't want to let Fuyumi go, she hires assassins who specialize in vampires.

When Bell learns that her family just let Staz and Fuyumi go, she kicks her brother's crotch to calm himself down and settles into the human world. In the meantime, Staz gives Fuyumi blood again and explains to her why he always waits until shortly before. If he always gave her something, her consumption would increase and she would soon no longer be able to take a step without his blood. They continue their way to the world of fame (in the anime Demon World Acropolis ), where they meet the leader of Team Fearless on Siam , who disguised himself as a cat. He manages to capture some of Staz's hair and swallow it. He reveals himself and his team ( the infamous: Sam, the beautiful: Jasmin, the intellectual: Roy, the strong: Land and the leader Siam ) intervenes. Staz doesn't take the vampire hunters seriously at first until Siam reveals to him that he is able to use his Magic Reader to predict Staz's attacks and to telepathically transmit them to his teammates using Roy's Magic Chatroom . The vampire hunters manage to kidnap Fuyumi, hide her in Land's hollow body and wound Staz with silver weapons. When Staz realizes that Fuyumi is gone and the vampire hunters have disappeared, he also realizes that his healing ability has been reduced to a minimum by the silver and that he could actually die. When he reproaches himself and asks himself why he is actually a dark hero , Sam and Jasmin attack him again with silver arrows and a silver katana. The seriously wounded Staz hears the shot from Fuyumi's alleged toy pistol, which he had bought her earlier to complete her cowgirl outfit. The bullet pierced the head of land on its way, knocking him out. Staz makes his way at full speed to the hiding place of the vampire hunters in a house nearby and finds Siam there. Jasmin and Sam then pierce him from behind with their silver weapons and believe that they have victory in their pockets. Staz then explains that he has realized that his magic is not there to destroy things, but that what is important to him to hold onto forever. He then holds Sam and Jasmin and explains that he has also realized that he will die if he does not get magic soon. He uses his magic to suck the magic out of Sam and Jasmin without touching them. He then threatens Siam, who not only releases Fuyumi, but also brings both of them to the world of fame with his team's airship. Also on board are the weakened Sam and Jasmin.

Staz explains to Fuyumi that he would be able to get into the world of fame because he is one of the noble demons who live there. But since Fuyumi is a ghost, the lowest demon of all, they have no choice but to intrude. Roy gives Staz a pair of new shoes and tells him they can fly, which is a lie because he and the rest of the team don't expect Staz to jump to the world of fame. Staz and Fuyumi manage to enter the world of fame, with Staz knocking Right Hand Crab unconscious.

In the meantime, Bell arrives at the human world branch of ONIQLO and meets Wolf, who has received a secret assignment from his father Daddy Wolf. Bell helps him because Wolf doesn't know exactly where to look and only has a bad sense of direction. Bell lets Wolf run astray at first, as one of the maps he has shows the entire Kanto region as a search area. Depressed about his mistake, Wolf tells Bell that he is looking for a woman named Katy of whom he only has a youth photo and who is also his mother. He gives Bell the more detailed map he has on which Katy's workplace (a school) is marked. With her space magic she brings them to the target area and Wolf sees his mother chasing the last students out of school and locking the gate, although she no longer looks like the photo. When the two of them see each other, they greet each other very rowdy. In Katy's apartment, however, she is very happy that her son is visiting and thinks Bell is his friend. Katy tells the two of them that she knows why Daddy Wolf wants her because he needs her special strength. She does not reveal what for, because she tells Bell and Wolf that she no longer has this power, because she needs her magic power to support life and is content to teach English. Wolf should not go back without her and says that he has inherited her strength. Katy then offers to take her place and show him how to use the power he inherited from her. It is the force that limits its transformation to three minutes.

In the world of rum, Staz and Fuyumi sneak through the area disguised as bushes, while Liz is looked after by Inspector Goyle and Inspector Velos, who makes her a rice omelette. When Golye tries to prevent Velos from simply taking Liz home with him, he gets the information that Right Hand Crab has been defeated and takes Angry , which has shrunk to miniature, with him, which then grows to its normal size. In the meantime, Staz decides to go underground with Fuyumi, which turns out to be the Cave of Rhums , which is an underground shopping mall that Staz used to secretly explore as a child. Once there, the two of them have a kind of date and towards the end Staz wants to go to a certain place that he never went to as a child and forgot why. Goyle has meanwhile talked to Right Hand Crab and is now angry at the two strangers who defeated him. With Angry he is able to track down the perpetrators, even if he has never seen them or knows their names, since Angry can find unknown people himself, if Goyle is only angry with them. In the cave of the Rhums, Angry is distracted, however, as Goyle has calmed down a little and has seen a Staute that he would like to buy but doesn't need. He decides to buy it. The Kotobuki shop where the statue is located is the same shop that wants to go into the staz in front of the area.

In the meantime, Franken and Vlad are making great strides with their project. With Staz's magic, which Vlad extracted from Fuyumi's magic sample, and Akim's heart, they are about to revive a dead body. The magic display rises steadily until it reaches a value of 36,400 organs (organs is the unit of magic, best to be compared with the fighting power from Dragonball ), which is very surprising to Franken, since Vlad told him the display should increase to around 25,760 organs , whereupon Vald corrects him and says that 25,760 is the value he calculated with his magic, not that of Staz. When the unknown corpse comes to life, Vlad happily greets his father Richard Blood , who has come back to life .

Staz and Fuyumi arrive at the store where they happen to meet Goyle. Staz recognizes him as a police officer when he shows his ID and attacks him. Goyle flies to the area in which Staz wanted, whereupon the latter follows him. The place turns out to be a red light district and Goyle has another fit of anger over thinking Staz brought Fuyumi there with bad intent. Golye can capture both of them by letting Staz fall asleep and freezing Fuyumi. He contacts, then Velos, that she should send him a carriage. She comes with Liz because it was the last carriage and she wanted to bring Liz home. He then contacts Velos that she should send him a carriage. She comes with Liz because it was the last carriage and she wanted to bring Liz home. Since Liz is in charge of the prison, Goyle gives her a choice. She has to lock up Staz and Fuyumi, but the further procedure is up to her. Liz lets Fuyumi thaw and tells Goyle and Velos to just stuff Staz in the trunk, although she doesn't care if they have to break something for it, which makes Velos a little irritated. When Goyle and Velos try, Liz knocks the driver off the driver's seat and flees with Fuyumi and Staz, who is in the trunk. Velos and Goyle follow the carriage at top speed and Liz manages to shake them off because Staz falls out and lets Goyle and Velos fall over the heap.

Staz gets a collar from Velos that attacks him when he uses his magic and takes a test. She injures him and finds out that the collar does not react to the regenerative abilities of the vampires, so she then begins to interrogate Staz by beating him several times. Liz takes Fuyumi to the secret room in Vlad's villa, where they not only meet Vlad, but also the resuscitated Richard, whom Liz does not recognize because she was too young to remember him when he died. Goyle calls on Staz's cell phone and Vlad decides to surrender to save his brother. Vlad and Staz are arrested by Goyle and Velos and transported to Daddy Wolf. Liz and Fuyumi explain to Richard how a cell phone works, and when asked who Fuyumi is, Liz explains to her father that Fuyumi is Staz's bride, which she immediately denies and cannot explain her relationship with Staz, as Hydra Heads and Neyn come to visit. In the courtyard, the two of them are surprised to find that Richard is actually alive again. Neyn is overjoyed to see Fuyumi again and wants to cuddle Liz too, but she doesn't want to. Richard asks Heads to take him to the throne room because he needs to speak to Daddy Wolf urgently.

During the transport, Vlad explains that he is very grateful to Staz for his magic, and has to explain himself to an angry Staz and an equally angry Velos. Richard and Heads meet Daddy Wolf in the throne room. There a brief fight breaks out between Daddy Wolf and Richard. Heads fears the damage will be great, but it was only a brief sparring and Daddy Wolf just wanted to make sure that it was really Richard and that he still had the strong ability to absorb magic. This ability is even more pronounced in him than in Staz. He gives Daddy Wolf back the magic he had absorbed from him. Goyle, Velos, Staz and Vlad arrive at the throne room and Richard tells Vlad that he is glad to be alive again but has no interest in taking the throne again. When Vlad asks why, Richard stabs him with the story key. As a result, Vlad is acquitted of all crimes and Richard stabs the confused Staz to death.

Staz finds himself in a strange world and sees Vlad there too. In this strange world they meet Uncle History, an egg-shaped demon who explains to them that they have had a near-death experience and will return to their bodies as soon as he explains everything to them. Meanwhile, Richard and Daddy Wolf explain the same thing that Staz and Vlad learn from Uncle History. Uncle History showed his guests a slide show explaining where the magic comes from. The magical power of the demons arises when they let the magical substance circulate in their body and thus transform it and the magical substance flows out of the large gate in the throne room. The magic substance was previously the souls of deceased people. The world of demons and the human world exist parallel to each other and souls migrations take place. The soul of a dead person ends up as magical substance in the demon world and the magical power of a dead demon returns as a soul into the human world. The door serves as a kind of dam and was built because of the explosive growth of the human population, as the many deaths could cause the demons to literally suffocate in the magical substance , since each demon only has a certain capacity and the excess is usually expelled, however, if the atmosphere is saturated, the demon suffocates.

This is the fate of the first and strongest king of the demon world, Grimm Rule , who diverted all the magical material to himself and whose magical power is now sealed behind the door. The magical power can continue to exist without a body if there is enough magical substance. Because of Grimm, the door opens every few years, and then the monster must be defeated. The last time this happened, Daddy Wolf and Staz's parents, Vlad and Liz fought it. They managed to force the monster back behind the door, but Richard's wife lost her life and Richard himself had absorbed too much magical power from Grimm and was in danger of being controlled by this because it had stuck inside him. So he asked Daddy Wolf to kill him to save everyone. This was also the moment when Vlad entered the room and saw Daddy Wolf with his father's heart in his hand. The near death experience ends, Vlad and Staz are back and Richard explains that they will need everyone as the gate will soon open.

In the meantime, Franken realizes that the supposedly dead Akim is still alive. This trick Franks and lets him form a circle with his fingers, which he uses for his space magic to get his heart out of Richard's body and to soak up the entire magic power of Richard, which causes him to die a second time, but before Vlad and Staz entrusted the future. Akim reaches the throne room and is much stronger than before. He injures Vlad badly and kicks Staz away because he cannot use his magic. Daddy Wolf then attacks Akim and seems to be superior to him at first, until he makes the mistake of using a magic attack which is sucked up by Akim, who then gains the upper hand. Velos takes the collar off Staz, who then hits Vlad to bring him back to senses. Akim wants to kill Daddy Wolf, but is stopped by the arriving Bell and Wolf.

Wolf fights Akim and seems superior to him, since he uses his mother's fighting tips and his new charisma technique. With charisma he is able to attract magic power, according to Katy the perfect technique for Wolf is the compulsion to close combat. But then the gate opens and Grimm comes out. Staz tries to close the gate so that the monster slowly dissolves, while Bell and Wolf work to divide the monster by attracting Wolf and Bell sending the magic power to places where there is no magic substance. Just before they make it, Akim absorbs the monster and can then materialize its magic, just like Staz or Vlad. He then destroys the gate with one blow. Vlad wants to escape with Staz, but Staz wants to destroy Akim on the spot by replenishing his magic power with the many magical substances. He attacks Akim, but is saved by Vlad.

In Vlad's castle, Staz wakes up and Liz locks herself in her room because she thinks Vlad is dead. Akim names himself the new king live on TV and tells what happened and illustrates this by laying the castle in ruins and challenging the entire demon world. Vlad uses his magic to let everyone know that he is still alive, which makes Liz very happy. Daddy Wolf says goodbye with Heads and Neyn, while the rest of them return to Staz territory as whoever kills Akim becomes the new king.

Gruppe Staz makes Cafe Third Eye their temporary headquarters and Staz explains his plan. First and foremost, he wants to gather information to destroy Akim. To do this, he shows his troops his library , which is a large room in his skyscraper that is full to the ceiling with shelves full of manga. Bell doesn't believe in it until Staz uses the transmigration of souls that Richard explained, proving that human fiction is the reality of demons. He shows her a demonic apple that was described in a manga, and shows that one of its properties, exploding when bitten off, is real. Goyle then puts forward the thesis that some mangas could actually be the memories of demons whose magical powers were reborn as human souls. The group stock up on mangas and Neyn lets Nell watch them. Neyn also changes Team Fearless' goal from Staz to Akim.

Akim has Vlad built a portable version of the device for measuring magic under threat of death. Neyn hacks into the palace's surveillance system to watch Vlad. Meanwhile, Staz is wondering where to find clues, since he has read his entire collection before. Unfortunately, Fuyumi needs blood again and expresses her fear that she might at some point go to Staz's throat if the thirst gets stronger. Staz lets her bite him and shows her that even if that happens, her jaw isn't strong enough to hurt him. Bell watches through a frame and is discovered by Fuyumi. Bell didn't quite catch the conversation, so she thinks Staz and Fuyumi have a physical relationship. She starts to sulk and leaves the group. Akim has currently defeated most of the challengers in the world of fame and turned them into a zombie army. He goes to Vlad and he finds out that Akim has equipped himself with new body parts. He measures Akim's strength, which is 193,020 organs , which Akim a little disappointed. He recruits Franken to create a table from the many demons available to him, so that he can strengthen his body even further and to maximize his magic capacity.

The Staz group meanwhile compiles its first results. Velos wants to find a magical bass named Death Resort , with which magic can be neutralized. Staz 'idea is to use a mega-robot or to collect the energy of the demon world (allusion to the Genkidama from Dragonball ). Wolf suggests training, since every manga hero did that before fighting an opponent. Vlad contacts the group and gives them a map where they hope to find the key to victory. Velos and Goyle are looking for Death Resort, while Nell joins the small Staz troop. While Staz, Liz, and Fuyumi buy supplies, Nell tells Wolf that Bell is in love with Staz. They stow the supplies in Nell's grid room and Staz asks Wolf what has been going on with the women lately. He is laughed at by Wolf and Nell asks Fuyumi about her feelings for Staz, which she blames on her dependence on his blood. In the meantime, Akim made children. He calls them Kelly Green and Burgundy . Both are much stronger than Staz and Akim sends them to the rest of the demon world to find the bosses of the territories, he makes a game of it and the winner is the one who brings him the best parts.

The Staz troop arrives in the northern demon world, which is completely devastated. The reason is Burgundy, who is after Fuyumi, especially her breasts. Staz and Wolf have no chance and can distract Burgundy, since she is not very smart, and hide in the grid room. Kelly comes to get Burgundy, but they both meet an old man. Staz is sent out as the vanguard and sees Kelly and Burgundy being defeated by the man in passing. Akim calls Kelly and Burgundy back and the old man named White Step is an old friend and colleague of Daddy Wolf and says that Daddy Wolf asked him to take care of Staz and Wolf. Meanwhile, Team Fearless appears to join Akim to find the right moment for their assassination attempt.

White Step briefly fights Staz and Wolf and shows them that they have no chance against him. He tells them that he is a simple person who got lost in the demon world in his youth and trained a lot to become invincible. He accepts Staz and Wolf as pupils to show them the art of the weaker. During this training they are only allowed to dodge, not attack and everything and everyone is allowed to attack them, which is especially pleasing to Liz. In the meantime, Bell is on a short vacation with Katy at the seaside and receives advice from her. Daddy Wolf contacts Akim and suggests a deal. Akim leaves the demon world alone and can compete against the blacklist , demons that are so strong and dangerous that they officially do not exist. Akim wanted the blacklist anyway and promises not to attack for three weeks. The demons in question are already in Hydra. On the black list are the worst felons who killed countless demons Steel Evil Jack who voluntarily let himself be locked up until someone comes who can kill him. The Oni of all Onis, the chief of the Onigashima gang which was over 5,000 Onis strong, who all passed out when he sang something to them and since then has been hiding deep in the mountains of Stone Doji . The guardian of a twenty kilometer forest area that hardly anyone ever sees, and kills everyone who harms the forest Elfores Misto . The fourth member Patty was deleted from the list because he lives in peace.

In order to form a team out of the three lone fighters, Daddy Wolf recruited his old friends from the Demon Colors (a secret service that Grimm founded). The Blacklist trains in Hydra, while Wolf and Staz make slow progress and Vlad notice changes in Akim's behavior. Akim creates a battle arena with an explosion and White Step is briefly kidnapped by Bell. She wants to join as a trainer and specifically train Staz. White Step gives her a training plan and she drops it off at Patty's because Step worries about him and prevents him from going to the mountain that Akim blew up.

Bell trains Staz and Wolf, at the Tengu Festival she competes against Staz, on the condition that he becomes her slave if she wins and she tells him what's going on if he wins. Staz wins, and Bell takes them both to an underground lake in a shock reaction. There she confesses her love to Staz, who asks her why she loves him because he did nothing by which he deserved her love. Bell realizes that she loves Staz because of Fuyumi, and if he leaves Fuyumi because of her, she would hate him. They make up, and Bell continues to love him.

During further training, Wolf and Staz master reading from opponents, and are then supposed to hike to their original goal in heavy suits. Burgundy ends up with Patty and White Step by chance and lives with them for a while. Step uses this chance to find their weaknesses. In the meantime Akim creates another child named Amber and Vlad notices how Akim is becoming more and more of a monster, as his magic value is now 269,200 . While training in the wilderness, Fuyumi needs blood again and Staz is almost killed by a boar because he is not allowed to use magic. Liz kills the pig and Staz realizes how it is to be the weaker one. Vlad tries to use Siam's skills to find out what's wrong with Akim and finds out that Grimm is taking on him more and more.

Velos and Goyle finally find Death Resort, which they have to get from a territorial boss who stole it from its owner. When they have the bass the owner explains that he made it himself as he is a fan of the manga he saw it in. Velos keeps the bass and she and Goyle want to join Team Staz. Bell has the two brought to Hydra, however. Akim and Vlad talk and Akim asks Vlad to kill him because he wants to die as Akim and not as Grimm. He tells him that his heart is the engine through which he can generate magic power. Vlad wants to brew him a poison because he sees that Grimm has almost complete control. When Vlad is about to leave, Grimm overpowers Akim and tells Vlad that he will take the poison to see what happens.

Five days before the showdown, Akim's magic is 586,900 and Kelly secretly joins Vlad. Vlad cannot make poison strong enough and then finds the solution in his blood, which he can control at will. Staz and Wolf arrive at Paty's house, and White Step allows them to fight Burgundy. With her magic waning, Staz and Wolf can quickly defeat her, but Patty intervenes. Taking full control of his monster form, he kidnaps Burgundy. In Hydra, Velos teams up with her band and Doji, and Doji finds out how to strengthen his allies with his vocals, Neyn brings Jack's true personality to light, Misto and Jack become friends, and the blacklist can get the most out of their strength. While Patty and Burgundy are at a loss, Grimm creates an army on the same principle as he created Kelly, Burgundy and Amber.

On the day of the showdown, everyone is ready, Daddy Wolf explains Vlad's plan to White Step and Team Staz. Grimm arrives in the arena, thousands of demons have gathered around the arena and Grimm's army surrounded it. If someone wants to take part in the fight, he must first defeat one of them. Jack, Doji and Misto easily defeat a guard and the fight begins. Grimm drinks the gift and Vlad begins the search for Grimm's heart with Siam and Roy. Jack defeats Amber, Grimm's strongest creation, and can finally control his berserker Lurk . Misto fights Kelly and Doji supports his friends with his vocals and Velo's band. Grimm intervenes in the fight, Patty and Burgundy join in, Patty wants to bring Grimm to his senses, which is impossible, however, and Burgundy convinces Kelly that this is not right. Grimm then kills Amber and then wants to kill Kelly. Siam intervenes because Vlad has the heart. With his blood he snatches it from Grimm and keeps it in his own body. Grimm goes crazy and Bell brings Team Staz, with the exception of Liz and Fuyumi, to the arena, where they pick up Vlad and begin a chase in which Grimm is supposed to use up his magic. Gimm takes on his true form, a huge monster with lots of arms, legs and eyes that is mostly made of magic, while Heads brings the others to Hydra for the next step.

Grimm pursues Vlad with space magic and Bell opens up new ways for them to escape through the whole world of demons. Daddy sends a message via TV to all demons to rise and destroy Grimm. Everyone heeded this call and those transported to Hydra began attacking Grimm from all angles. Liz calls Staz because she is worried and Fuyumi speaks to Staz for a moment. Liz then reports that Fuyumi is starting to disappear, whereupon Staz is sent by Bell to Fuyumi. Grimm had part of his magic attached to Staz and is sending him thirty percent of his magic to take Staz hostage. He recognizes Liz as the better hostage and wants Liz to come with him, but he leaves Staz and Fuyumi alive. Liz agrees and becomes Grimm's hostage. Staz realizes how weak he was true and could hardly protect Fuyumi and Liz.

Grimm forces Vlad to surrender to him, otherwise he will kill Liz. Meanwhile, Fuyumi tries to encourage Staz and he has an idea. He kisses Fuyumi and gives her all his magic. Vlad sends Bell and Wolf to Staz and Fuyumi. They bring the supposedly dead Staz and the disappearing Fuyumi to Hydra where Franconia is waiting. In Fuyumi's mind, Staz explains his plan. He remembered the special ability of the ghosts, which Wolf told him about when Fuyumi called himself ghost.

In Franconia's laboratory, Fuyumi's body is complete again because Staz took control and now coexists with Fuyumi, making her a hybrid. He wants to implement Franken's plan that he had with Fuyumi. Bell wants to know whether Staz can get back into his body, Franken says that this is easy for Vlad and Staz has to grudgingly admit that he must save Vlad. Staz uses the coexistence ability of the spirits and his magic absorption to first incorporate the charisma of Wolf and then the spatial magic of Bell, as well as their consciousness. In Fuyumi's mind he created a Mech-like pilot's cockpit for himself and Fuyumi, and sent Bell and Wolf to the HQ, which both find very strange. Franken, notices even without a measuring device that Demon Fuyumi already has more than 100,000 organs magic.

Staz has everyone who is still in Hydra, Team Fearless, Daddy Wolf, Kelly, Burgundy, White Step and Neyn gather together and sucks the magic out of all but Neyn and White Step. Bell's space magic no longer needs a frame due to the enormous reinforcement in demon Fuyumi's body and Staz can easily save Vlad and Liz from anger before he confronts him. On the spot he still absorbs the magic of the blacklist, that of Velos and Goyle. In the course of the fight, Staz lures Grimm away and uses Goyle's magic to mark all demons in the demon world as a target and to withdraw as much magic as possible with his magic absorption and to provoke Grimm to intercept the next attack, as he announced.

Characters

Staz Charlie Blood:

Staz is the main character in Blood Lad . He belongs to the noble demon race of vampires and is an otaku. Despite his ancestry, he lives in the eastern demon world, where he rules a huge territory. He has black hair, red eyes, and appears to be seventeen to nineteen years old. He spends his days reading manga, watching anime and playing computer games. He loves everything that comes from the human world, especially from Japan and admires Son Goku from Dragon Ball. He does not have the known weaknesses of vampires like crosses, garlic etc. His only known weakness is silver which weakens his regenerative abilities. When the human girl Fuyumi Yanagi gets lost in the demon world, Staz people bring her to him. He immediately falls in love with her and thinks it's great that she is from Japan. He vows to resuscitate her when his inattention turns her into a ghost. He has been supplying Fuyumi with blood since an excursion into the human world. His magic is initially sealed by a ball in the heart, so he can only use a minimum of his magic. This will be removed later, so he can use his full potential. His magic is in the shape of a hand and, like all vampires, he is able to absorb the magical power of his enemies. This ability seems to be more pronounced with him than with other vampires, because he is also able to suck out the magic power of his opponents directly through his magic. His family consists of his hated older brother Vlad, his younger sister Liz and his late father Richard. His best friend is the werewolf-mixed breed wolf, which rules in the west. Its magic lies in: 36,400 organs.

Fuyumi Yanagi:

Fuyumi Yanagi is a seventeen year old Japanese student who got lost in the world of demons by chance. She has black hair, dark blue eyes and a large stem. She is a good student and knows some manga and games. At first she is afraid of Staz, but it evaporates immediately when they talk and he wants to know things from her like: the latest game consoles, manga sequels and how many parts one of Staz's favorite games (Final Fantasy) now has. She is being eaten by a carnivorous plant owned by a seller who wants to take over Staz territory. She is then a ghost and her physical appearance remains the same, the only difference is a triangular pennant which now hangs on her forehead. She has been dependent on Staz's blood since she almost disappeared on an excursion into the human world. If she does not drink his blood at regular intervals, it will dissolve and disappear into nothing. Due to her cheerful personality, she befriends Liz, Bell, Wolf, Nell and Mamejiro very quickly, treating Liz like a little sister. Her mother was the doppelganger of Neyn, making her and Bel something like half sisters. She is unsure of her feelings for Staz as she blames them on her dependence on his blood. As a ghost, she has the ability to coexist with other magic which, according to Frankenstein, can make her a hybrid. Your magic lies in: 50 organs.

Wolf:

Wolf is a werewolf and is Staz's best friend. He rules the western demon world. He is very strong physically, has no sense of direction, and is a strong leader. He is always a little bit in competition with Staz, since he never managed to defeat him, even when his magic was still sealed. He is the son of Daddy Wolf and Katy (demon of unknown species). Wolf can turn into a werewolf for a maximum of three minutes because he is not a purebred werewolf, but a mixed breed. He later learns from Katy how to control the magic he inherited from her. With this magic, called charisma , he is able to attract magical power like a magnet and thus also his opponents, whereby he forces them to close combat. Its magic lies in: 19,800 organs .

Hydrabell:

Hydrabell, or Bell for friends, is a young space mage and the daughter of Hydra Heads and Neyn. She is Fuyumi's half-sister and the older sister of Nell. She has blonde hair, green eyes, and a tall stem. She is a treasure hunter and loves to research secrets, which is why she mainly uses her magic for treasure hunts. She is the owner of the black curtain through which Fuyumi came into the demon world. She no longer has control over the black curtain and thinks someone stole this part of her magic. She wants to find the thief and marry. At first she puts Staz in so that he can box against Wolf. So she wanted to find out if he was the thief. She starts to be interested in, realizing that he has a lot more power, but his magic only comes out drop by drop. These feelings get stronger when she sees his full power (after the bullet is removed by Vlad) fighting Akim. She falls in love with Staz shortly afterwards and wants him to give up on Fyumi. Later she realizes that she loves Staz because he is a hero to Fuyumi and that she would hate him if he let Fuyumi sit for her. With her magic she connects two rooms and can choose between these journeys, with the black curtain she can connect the world of demons and the human world. If she materializes her magic, a cube is created in which she can move freely, and in combat she also likes to use a pistol. Their magic is: 26,900 organs.

Vlad D. Blood:

Vlad is a noble vampire and the older brother of Staz and Liz. He wears glasses and a black coat that belonged to his father. He spends a lot of time researching and released Staz Potential as a child. He shot Staz in the heart because his body wasn't strong enough to withstand this force. He is very intelligent and as a scientist well versed in many fields. So he knows how to turn a spirit back into a person and wrote the book of resuscitation about it, which is encrypted so that only he can read it. He is also a gentleman and knows how to behave and compliments people when he thinks it appropriate, so he complimented his glasses after he admired Vlad's glasses. Vlad usually stays hidden and pulls the strings from the background. He hates Daddy Wolf because he thinks he is his father's murderer. He brought Mime's body to Frankenstein, which enabled him to create Akim. After Staz defeated Akim and locked Liz Frankenstein and Akim in prison, Vlad Akim used Staz's heart and magic to revive his father Richard Blood with the help of Franken. Akim later forces him to help him, otherwise he would die. His magic has the shape of five swords, besides the ability to regenerate and absorb magic that all vampires have, he has a special magic called Bloodstakler with which he can control his blood remotely. Its magic lies in: 25,760 organs.

Liz T. Blood:

Liz is the younger sister of Staz and Vlad and the person responsible for the prison of the Demon World Acropolis, which is therefore also called Liz Spielkiste . She has red hair and red eyes and usually wears armor and a mask. She loves sweets and cute stuffed animals. In her room she has a huge collection of masks, which she is always expanding. She hated Staz at first because Vlad didn't have time for her because of him, and that's why she was lonely. However, she changes her mind quickly, which is mainly due to Fuyumi. She starts to be interested in anime after Staz showed her the movie: The Castle in Heaven . She sees a big sister in Fuyumi and loves her rice omelets. Although she changed her mind about Staz, she doesn't treat him very well and often hits him. Her magic is in the form of two axes, besides the regeneration and absorption of the vampires, she also has the ability to use a kind of space magic in the form of an ax with which she can send anyone from anywhere to prison. Their magic is: 9,700 organs .

Hydra Heads :

Heads is the ruler of the subspace Hydra and the husband of Neyn and father of Bell and Nell. He has blond hair and has a laid back personality. He usually wears pajamas with the inscription I Heart Neyn and sandals, according to himself, he has been wearing this outfit since his wedding. He lacks a little respect for the privacy of others, for example he surprised Bell while showering because someone had eaten his ice cream or took photos of the sleeping Neyn; if he is caught, the injured party may paint him. He masters the sometimes strongest space magic and even seems to have created the subspace Hydra. He has the ability to transform into a three-headed hydra with wings. He feels very comfortable in small rooms, although he can create rooms of any size. Like Staz, he also loves games and tricked them into making Staz swear to drink Fuyumi's blood only with Fuyumi's permission and to only leave Hydra with Fuyumi's consent. Despite being relaxed, he can be very serious. The only one he ever feared was Fuyumi's father, because he was very impressed by his willingness to make sacrifices and Fuyumi's father even threatened him as a person should he ever make Neyn sad. He has great confidence in Staz and entrusts him with Fuyumi and her safety. It appears that he is a personal friend of Richard and Daddy Wolf.

Neyn:

Neyn is the mother of Bell and Nell as well as Fuyumi. On an excursion with Bell into the human world, she met Fuyumi's mother. Since both were the double of each other, they merged into one existence when they met, and since then she has been semi-demonic. Fuyumi's father let her go because he decided to protect Fuyumi from the demons by raising her alone. When she found out that Fuyumi is in the demon world and that she is a ghost, she lets Nell kidnap her and refuses to let her go. It even went so far that she hired Team Fearless to kill Staz and bring her Fuyumi back. Since she is also Fyumi's mother, Staz felt a similar attraction to her as when he first met Fuyumi when she was still alive. She is a surveillance specialist and a friend of Vlad. She helped him to some extent in his plan. She has a high tolerance for alcohol and can drink large amounts of wine that would put others in a coma. Neyn was the one who made sure that the blacklist could work together.

Daddy Wolf:

Daddy Wolf is the king of the demon world and one of the strongest demons of all. He is a purebred werewolf and the father of Wolf. He belonged to the demon secret service Demon Colors and was code-named Red Wolf. He followed Richard on the throne by killing him at his request by tearing his heart out of his chest, which Vlad had to watch by chance. He cares about the gate behind which Grimm is locked and mobilizes everything and everyone to be ready when the gate opens. He mobilized White Step to train Staz and Wolf and had the blacklist brought to Hydra when Akim took power. He is a personal friend of Hydra Heads and Richard

Richard Blood:

Richard is the father of Liz, Staz and Vlad. He is the former king of the demon world. When the gate last opened ten years ago, he and his wife and Daddy Wolf fought the monster. When his wife died in battle and he himself ran the risk of being taken over by Grimm because of the absorbed magic, he asked Daddy Wolf to kill him and become the new king. Vlad revived him with Akim's Heart and Staz Magic. He told everyone what happened then and was killed by Akim before the gate opened. His magic is in the form of two serrated teeth, his ability to absorb seems to be the strongest yet, as he can even completely absorb magic attacks and return this magic to its owner if necessary. He was a personal friend of Hydra Heads and Daddy Wolf.

Frankenstein:

Franken (allusion to the famous fictional character Viktor Frankenstein) is a madly brilliant scientist in the western demon world. His ancestors created life from the combination of body parts, that is how he created Akim. After Akim took power, he was forced to help him.

Akim Papladon:

Akim is a demon with no solid body. He has a body made up of many different body parts of different demons, he himself is just a phantom, which moves the body through magic. For him, strength is beauty and is therefore the search for body parts that are as strong as possible. He could only exist when Franken had pantomime's body and its ability to copy magic to hold everything together. So he also has space magic, which Mime copied by Heads. Akim can also control the black curtain, but doesn't know. His heart was the key to resuscitating Richard. He later killed Richard, got his heart back, and took over all of Richard's skills. Shortly thereafter, he absorbed the magic of Grimm's rule and declared himself king. He destroyed the gate and the palace, forcing Vlad and Franken to help him get stronger and stronger by increasing his capacity with better body parts. He later creates his children Kelly Green, Burgundy and Amber. He is more and more taken over by Grimm's personality and in the end completely devoured, whereby Grimm takes control of Akim's body.

Grimm Reign:

Grimm Reign was the first king and probably the strongest king in the demon world. He is a demon of an unknown species. He has light spiky hair and a partially violent personality. He is partly calculating and kills everyone who is weak and useless in his eyes. Since his birth he never felt really full because his capacities were simply too big. Since he, unlike the vampires, does not have the ability to absorb magic power, his only possibility to quickly get to magic power and to absorb it was to hunt, kill and eat other demons. As a result, he quickly became the strongest demon of all and was then made king. He founded the secret service Demon Colors , subordinate to the king, whose members are named after colors. He forced his subjects to give him some of their magic power and all who refused were eaten by him. In his striving to finally reach the maximum of his magic power, he had a wall built where the magical substance reaches the demon world in order to channel it and redirect it to himself. This resulted in his death as he absorbed too much and therefore literally suffocated in the magical substance. His consciousness survived along with his magical power as the atmosphere was enriched with enough magical material. This magical power is later absorbed by Akim and Grimm slowly devours Akim's consciousness until he takes it completely a few days before the showdown. He freaks out completely and becomes a huge monster made entirely of magic when Vlad steals his heart.
