The Blue Icefalls ( English for Blue ice falls ) are steep and 6 km long glacier breaks off blue colored ice on the Danco Coast of the West Antarctic Graham Lands . They are located on the western edge of the Forbidden Plateau and above the easternmost side bay of Andvord Bay .
The ice falls owe their descriptive name to scientists from a Polish Antarctic expedition, which they named in 1995.
