Blues Lick is a band founded by the Bavarian musician Helmut Licklederer and names the blues musician himself. The lyrics are in Bavarian and all come from his pen.

history

Blues Lick comes from Ingolstadt and is best known in southern Germany as a singer-songwriter under the name "Lick". After years of appearances as a solo artist, since the band was founded in 1995, he has appeared in a flexible line-up as a soloist, duo and four-man combo at festivals and cabaret stages.

Blues Lick is currently on the road with his humorous roots music program “Da Deifesweg” with various well-known musicians from the Bavarian scene.

style

In terms of style, the music remains related to the blues, but it moves through the stylistic elements of rhythm and blues , boogie , a touch of folk and rock 'n' roll and thus has its own sound that puts the audience in a good mood.

At Blues Lick, his second job as a singer-songwriter shimmers through, with whose lyrics you can never be sure how much autobiographical material was used. The Bavarian texts often describe the weirdos in our society, about whom Blues Lick tells in his humorous way.

The song "Kamikaze" by Blues Lick sold thousands of times on the compilations "Hart & Zart" and "Saturn-Alpenpower" (with Haindling , Wolfgang Ambros , Spider Murphy Gang , Hubert von Goisern and others). The album "Da Deifesweg", released in September 2011, was immediately nominated for the German Record Critics' Prize.
