The Bluetick Coonhound is a breed of dog from the United States. It is not recognized by the FCI , but is recognized by the UKC and, since 2009, also by the AKC .
In Louisiana , the hybrid of foxhounds , mixed breeds, English coonhounds and French hounds resulted in the bluetick coonhound. Today he is put on the raccoon . Like all "raccoon dogs", it is quite large, up to 69 cm and medium weight up to 36 kg. The fur of the dogs is medium-long, soft, smooth and shiny in white, strong blue-black spotted or spotted and tan-colored markings on the head and ears .
