Blyth Valley was a district with borough status in Northumberland in England . The administrative seat was the city of Blyth . The borough also included the places Cramlington , Seaton Delaval and Seaton Sluice .

The District was formed on April 1, 1974 and was created from the merger of Borough Blyth, the Urban District Seaton Valley and part of the Rural District Whitley Bay. On April 1, 2009, in addition to Blyth Valley, all other districts in Northumberland were abolished and combined into a single Northumberland Unitary Authority.
