Bo Persson (table tennis player)
Bo Persson (born January 1, 1948 in Hörby ) is a Swedish table tennis player . In the 1960s and 1970s, he won four European and one world championships with the Swedish team .
Career
The left-hander Bo Persson achieved his first international success at the European Junior Championships in Prague in 1965, where he won the mixed title with Eva Johansson. With the adults he was mostly successful in team competitions. From 1968 to 1974 he took part in all four European championships and won gold with the team every time. He was nominated for world championships six times. Here, too, he won medals exclusively with the team, namely gold in 1973 and bronze in 1967 and 1975 .
At national Swedish championships he won three titles in doubles (1969 and 1971 with Hans Alsér , 1973 with Ingemar Wikström), in 1975 the mixed title with Birgitta Olsson and five titles with the teams Sölvesborgs BTK (1967), Boo KFUM (1973) and Falkenberg's BTK (1979, 1980, 1981).
He later became a coach.
