Boardman Tasker Award

The Boardman-Tasker Mountaineering Literature Prize is an annual award valued at £ 3,000. It awards the "Boardman Tasker Charitable Trust" ( charitable trust ) to one or more authors , the extraordinary contributions toward climbers - literature contributed. It was donated in memory of Peter Boardman and Joe Tasker after their deaths on the northeast ridge of Mount Everest in 1982. Both were also outstanding authors. Fictional or real stories , poems and dramas can be awarded prizes . However, the work must be written in English or be available as an English translation.
