Bob Arum

Bob Arum (born December 8, 1931 in New York City ) is an American boxing promoter .

With his company Top Rank , where his son-in-law Todd du Boef also works, he mainly promotes Latinos in the lower weight classes and less heavyweights, although he currently has Hasim Rahman under contract. Even Tommy Morrison and George Foreman trusted him. His most respected boxer right now is Manny Pacquiao . Floyd Mayweather, however, recently left him. He is also promoting Miguel Cotto .

The first match he promoted was Muhammad Ali versus George Chuvalo in 1966 .

Arum is considered the arch enemy of Don King . Because of their competition, it was difficult for both promoters to communicate about fights between their boxers for years.

In 1999 Arum was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame .
