Bob Miller (football player)

Bob Miller (* 11. December 1929 in Norwalk , Connecticut as Robert Miller Marguese ; † 7. August 2006 in Clarkston , Michigan ) was an American football player . He played from 1952 to 1958 as a tackle with the Detroit Lions in the NFL .

Life

Miller attended the University of Virginia and finished 13th in the list of the best graduates in 1951. He played for Detroit in 1952 in the NFL and won with his team the titles in 1952, 1953 and 1957. The title finals in 1954 lost his team. He was named Best Tackle by the Sporting News in 1956 . After his football career, he bought a racing team.

Bob Miller died of cancer on August 7, 2006 in Clarkston, Michigan, aged 76.
