Robert Spencer "Bob" Rock junior (born October 17, 1949 in Missoula , Montana ) is a former American luge athlete .
In 1965, Rock became US champions in single and double-seater juniors. In 1971 he reached third place in the national championships and 51st in the world championships . A year later he competed in the Winter Olympics in Sapporo, Japan , and finished 44th after four runs.
Rock attended Hellgate High School in Missoula and graduated from the University of Montana . After finishing his playing career, he moved to Chandler , Arizona . In 1999 he helped found a non-profit organization for needy Olympians.
