Terrance William N. "Terry" O'Brien (born July 28, 1943 in Portland , Maine ) is a former American luge athlete .
In 1969 O'Brien won the national championship title in doubles and the North American championship in singles and doubles. In 1971 he was the US champion for the second time. In 1972 and 1976 he took part in the Winter Olympics. In the single-seater he reached places 31 and 28.
O'Brien attended South Portland High School and graduated from the University of Maine . During his active career he was stationed in Plattsburgh , New York with the US Air Force .
