Bob Welch
Bob Welch (born August 31, 1945 in Los Angeles , California - † June 7, 2012 in Nashville , Tennessee ) was an American singer and musician .
Career
Welch had already played in various groups before joining Fleetwood Mac as a guitarist from 1971 to 1974 and recording five albums with the band. Welch is credited with making the group's sound more commercial. However, after suing for unpaid royalties in 1994, he was not considered when Fleetwood Mac was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
Following the split from Fleetwood Mac, Welch formed the band Paris .
He later appeared as a soloist and enjoyed success with titles such as Sentimental Lady (1977) and Ebony Eyes (1978). For his two most successful albums French Kiss (1977) and Three Hearts (1979) he received platinum and gold awards in the USA.
In June 2012, Bob Welch voluntarily passed away at the age of 66.
