Bob best
The Bobbesten in Bobbedalen in Møllerlyngen in Tingstedbakken northeast of Rønne is one of the largest boulders on the Danish island of Bornholm . The area in which it is located is an old high heath. It is about the size of the Tirslundstein .
The largest dimensions of the Bobbeste are 4.7 × 4.7 × 3.7 meters. The volume is around 48.0 m³, with a density of 2.8 for granite , it weighs around 130 tons and has a circumference of 18.8 m. It was originally even bigger, a larger piece, chipped off by the frost, lies in the southeast under the stone.
"Bobba" is the name of a ghost on Bornholm, especially to scare children.
In the early 20th century, small quarries were operated with little staff, but most only for a few years. The mining was intensified between the world wars. You could get dangerously close to the bobsled, but the authorities made sure that the immediate area was protected from destruction.
