The underground monument mining area Grube Leopold von Buch extends about 300 m east of the Steinhaus forestry house to the Obereschbach industrial area and south of the federal motorway 4 in the Moitzfeld district of Bergisch Gladbach .

On an area of ​​about 500 x 500 meters you can see individual heaps and pings from the mining time of the Leopold von Buch mine in the Bensberg ore district . You can also see a circular hill with a diameter of 23 meters and 2.2 meters high, as well as ditches and dams. In the western area there are two dams that border two small ponds. Here you can also find the pinge of the weather shaft, which is shown above.
