The hulls are manufactured under the control of in-house inspectors in other shipyards and then transported to Millingen for final production. In the 1970s, passenger ships were also built in the shipyard, such as the two cabin ships still in service today, Bellriva and My Story, both of which were previously in service with the Cologne-Düsseldorfer under the names Italia and Austria . In 2003 Bodewes launched the largest tanker in service on the Rhine - the Vlissingen sailing under the Dutch flag .
