Bodo Ihrke

Bodo Ihrke (born February 26, 1955 in Templin ) is a German local politician ( SPD ).

Career

After graduating from high school in 1973 and 18 months of basic military service in the National People's Army , he studied electrical engineering at the Technical University of Dresden from 1975 to 1979 and graduated as a graduate engineer. He then worked as a project engineer for electrical and MSR systems in the VEB Landbauprojekt Potsdam, branch office Eberswalde. From 1985 he held a managerial position at VEB Rohrleitungsbau Finow.

After the political change in the GDR , he became district administrator of the Eberswalde district in 1990 . With the dissolution of the district he became district administrator of the newly created district of Barnim in 1993 . He did not run for the 2018 election. His successor was Daniel Kurth .

Trivia

Ihrke was in the same class as the later Chancellor Angela Merkel and also performed at the ZDF class reunion with Wim Thoelke.
